DCM weekly dare - Twins or more

This week at Daring Card Makers
it was our Keryn turn to set the Dare.
Doesn't there seem to be more and more multiple births around at the moment. Or perhaps I'm just noticing as a member of my family is due to deliver twins in September this year. Your dare for this week is to create a card using any technique, any style, to welcome the birth of multiples. If you keep the card long enough there is bound to be someone you know having twins or more to send it to.
Hmmmm.... this was a toughy... decided to go with twin boy theme.. not sure why, don't know anyone having twin boys just the colours appealed to me..
My card is actually just resting on another piece of Teal PP so the flower that overhangs the card shows up.
One little trick I've picked up from Godelieve's blog is to use a white gel pen to colour in the stamped image. so that's what I've done with the storks on this card, I really like this effect so thanks for that Godelieve.
Joyful bits I've used on this card are - Treasures Cardstock, Kelly Panacci PP,
PSX Stamp - D-3305, Me & My Big Ideas Chipboard stickers, American Crafts Ribbon, Making Memories charm & jumpring, Heidi Swapp Blossom, Computer Generated Sentiment, White gel pen, Teal Texta, & my sewing machine.
So have you Dared to DARE yet?........ Come on I DARE You!!!!!!!

  9. Beautiful card.
This is one challenge I will not be participating in.
My colleague Nick reads my blog daily & last week Stacey, his wife lost their triplets. They lost a baby last year too. I really can't make a baby card.

  14. Hello Gillian :) What a beatiful card you made! I love the way you put your flower in card, as a sun that rises in the sky. And yes, I believe it's Twice the joice, Twice the blessing, too.

  20. What a lovely way to say congratulations! Your card is just lovely, Gillian. And thanks for the tip about the white gel pen. I am about to get one of those from SU! I have used gel pens of other colours to colour in things like balloons - I did that this weekend and put it up on my blog. Oh - my friend with the Uncle who's 100th birthday is coming up? She and I sorted through many ideas yesterday and she has gone away to have a think. She enjoyed that vintage site you recommended so thank you again!

    See you again soon :-)
