Flower of the Lily

Oh I was so happy when I saw this weeks challenge at
it was Fleur De Lis, because I have this wonderful stamp I've hardly used, and It was just the motivation I needed to use it...
I used the 'credit card technique to apply the paint... that's where you put some drops of paint onto the paper and spread it with a credit card, when almost dry apply another colour until the desired affect is achieved... what the scanner fails to show, is that it gives a beautiful almost leather effect, and is lovely to touch..
I then put some of the 'coral reef' paint onto the stamp and used it to stamp instead of ink, this left a lovely ridge impression, which I then stitched in.
I've used - Fleur de lis Script Stamp from Stamp-It, Junkitz paints -Coconut,Sunset, Coral reef & Seweed, Some scraps to make the tiny banners on the top and bottom this was inspired by a piece I saw on Gaby's blog the words were computer generated and My sewing machine.
