I've just made this card for Wednesday Stampers Challenge - Eggs
the background is made with multiple layers of newsprint, gesso, tissue (which has been rubbed off in places to reveal the newsprint) and sealer, I stamped with Hero Arts Real High Country Wildflowers which I then sanded to give a weathered look, image from Tuscan Rose CD, Mini Marks Rub-on, Versa ink-Umber, the little paper hat I folded out of some of the newsprint I photocopied, feather pulled from my feather doona, and my sewing machine...
Righto, I best get this in the post for a friend for her birthday :O)
Love, love, love this. The girl is divine -- and her hat is brilliant. I love the verse, too.

What a beautiful piece of work, I love the background (for some strange reason I've started looking at backgrounds first) but I love the foregrond just as much.
ReplyDeleteWow - those great techniques keep on coming Gillian - maybe you should start writing a "how to" book - I am sure it would sell well! Very pretty card as always - and I bet those kiddies of yours are holding their doonas tightly in case Mummy needs another feather! lol! Have a great week!
