wool felt brooches & vintage delights...

It has been a little while since I last blogged...
to cut a long story short
we have cared for a loved one,
I had a little foot operation
and I got busy with starting up my etsy store again.
~ all good but sometimes in life blogging has to take a back seat.

But I decided tonight was a good night to say hello! :)

as I just said above, I have been working on setting up my etsy store again
it has been around a couple of years since it was open and I have missed it.
I've been enjoying working on it for the past 3 months,
Lots of Vintage collectables and curios,
some of my brooches (with more to come)
& my jewellery....

I love that I have a place to share some of my gorgeous vintage finds and another place to share my brooches and jewellery...

have a lovely week

sparkly loveliness.....

It's been a little while since I shared some of my jewellery creations, these are two of my pieces I created today, I am enjoying more and more mixing up the different metals I have in my jewellery making 'stash' it really adds so much to the 'eclectic' look I desire when I create.
I called this pair 'Gaiety'I love the Texture of different chains together, this bracelet altho it's made entirely of Solid brass, each of the brass findings seem to take on a slightly different shade and tone. all of the pieces I have used to make this bracelet come from different suppliers, they sit in my little divided boxes waiting for me to decide what to do with them.... once assembled all of those pieces from so many different parts of the world suddenly become 'ONE'..........Don't you just love Creating!

Hope you find time to Create today ♥

a Whisper and a Shout ;)

I received some 'Tyvek' paper
in my Design Team pack from
Boy is it fun to use!
So I used the 'Tyvek' paper as the background for this ATC.
I screwed it up, then pressed it out flat again, next I rubbed my Distress Ink 'walnut stain' over the paper, which caught on all of the creases. Then I lightly sprayed with water, sprinked a little bit of embossing powder, heated with my heat gun which made it curl up and put a few small holes in the paper.
then I brayered it flat & I cut it to ATC size and started to construct my design.
other bits I used arre, Collections Vintage Wallpaper printed paper, Collections Chipboard branch, Collections word and my sewing machine

and now onto the
Shout

I made my first ever treasury list on etsy today

and it was selected by etsy admin to appear on the Front page!

I selected all Australian Artist because I think they are FABBY

here's the link if you'd like a closer look

http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list_west.php?room_id=23019

it will be in the Treasury for 3 days :)

I made the front page on ETSY

Last week I was so excited one of my jewelry pieces made the front page on ETSY
Can you see it,
At the top in the middle
Treasuries are created by Etsy members, it's kinda like creating your own little 'mini gallery' right there on etsy.
This Lovely 'rust coloured' list was created by Potato Bird
Then several times a day Etsy Admin picks one of the 'Treasuries' and Puts it on the Front Page of Etsy, this is the 2nd time I've had something of mine on the front page, it's such a thrill.

This is the necklace

'The Secret Garden'

It's sold now, but I just wanted to document this on my blog

and ofcourse 'show off' a little :P

Whimsey Pins

My Whimsey Pins
They are just for fun
I love making these :)
each is OOAK (one of a kind)
I start with a Vintage Brass Army Laundry Pin
then dangle lovely brass charms & beautiful Czech Glass Beads
or Swarovski Crystals off them
they are such fun!
The Pins are really Strong, and I don't alter them at all,
so you can use them for your keys, or hang them on your bag or tote.
Hope your day is full of Whimsey :)

and some more pretties....

This is a Necklace I made using an antique skeleton key...much better than leaving them lying around in a draw don't you think... and these are my new 'Whimsey Pins' just for fun, using Vintage Military Laundry Pins
You can hang them on your bag, tote or use them for your keys...
and they are not ment to be serious.... they are just for fun :)
I haven't been making much in the way of Paper things at the moment...
our little house has an Autumn Cold Virus.....
We are all falling one by one...
and at the moment, jewelry making is easier on the head...
and we are all taking things very slowly.
I just want to thankyou all of you who left a comment for Georgia, in the previous post she is more than thrilled that people like her Art... :)

Green is still my colour at the moment.....
and these are my FAVOURITE BEADS :)
I had some new supplies arrive this and last week
So I've been having fun creating with them
I just love these amazing Brass Pieces, look at the wings on this Solid Brass Dragonfly,
such beautiful detail......

I'm working on a few Paper creations at the moment for TSQ, hope to have them ready to blog either tomorrow or on the weekend, I am basically working full time at the moment between my etsy shop and selling on ebay (one has to pay for ones entertainment somehow ;)

But today I have to tidy my studio....hmmmmmm
the time has come....
I'm being swallowed up by my lovely little creative MESS!!!!
altho I must say,
when I sit down to a clean desk (altho I like the look of it)
I do find it hard to get the creative process happening
How about you
CLEAN DESK or MESSY DESK?
which one are YOU?
