My Bracelet.....

A few moths ago I bought myself a Pandora Bracelet
I've wanted one for the longest time
I bought myself the bracelet, two clips and a large Dotty bead which has 5 gold dots which I think represent my family....and for a while that's all I had on it.
then last week I bought myself a little Knotted Biagi bead, it's quite cute and a perfect Representation of Craft I thought ;)
..............................
I Really love the tiny Details of these beads,
the texture, the movement and the weight on my wrist.
I wish I was a Silversmith!
I'd love to create these little treasures
But alas I'm not....
sigh..so many crafts so little time ;)
............................
Then I discovered Charmish a Fabby Etsy Seller
who makes really Unique beads, well I just had to have one ;)
I bought this Gorgeous 'Sea Weed' Bead from her, and it's so Beautifully Made.
I live by the sea,
so it's a perfect addition to my little bracelet :)
...........................
I Hope you are having a Lovely week,
Of course it's school holidays here at the moment
so most of my creating gets put on hold when all three of the children are at home from school ~ but we did make some Zines the other day, that was heaps of fun :)
I must take some picys and put them on here to show you, the children expressed their personalities perfectly in them, You've gotta love Art :)

{10}

This is my final piece for
Design Team challenge for this month
it's been heaps of fun playing with the
Darkroom Doors Robot Montage Sheet
heee....heee.... I know my little man will laugh out loud, when he sees this little robot peeking out of the number 10!.... I still can't believe he is going to be 10 at the end of this month!
I have used the German scrap as a stamp again, on the collage background, then sprinked it with black embossing powder, the German scrap wheels were metallic gold and parts of the gold come show through the black embossing powder nicely....You can also see I have lightly sprinked the same embossing powder onto the chipboard numbers, before I sewed them on.
I used ~ Darkroom Doors Robot Montage Sheet (for the robot and the 'fabulous' word), German Scrap Wheels sheet , Catslife Press 'Open Here' Stamp
extra bits and pieces are ~ Old Dictionary Page, Basic Grey Printed Paper, Chipboard Numbers & Brackets, Making Memories Noteworthy page, computer generated words, Versa Color Cardinal Ink Pad

Hope you are all having a Fabulous Week

using Darkroom Doors Robot Montage Sheet
You can't help but love these little robots
they are such fun to play with :)
See the little wheels I have stamped onto the tag ~ I haven't used a stamp at all
I actually used German Scrap!
I used the Wheels sheet
I cut a strip, and inked it on the front with Versafine Onyx Black and then pressed it onto the tag, I love the 'rough' stamped image it gives :)
I used - Darkroom Doors Robot Montage Sheet (for the robot and also for 'Out of this world'), German Scrap- Wheels, Catslife Press-Open Here Stamp, Luggage Tag, Versafine Onyx Black ink pad. extras- wooden gear by The Porkchop Show, twill, brad, rub-on wings, and bling :)

Lots on in our home this week,
we have an 8th b'day party
and Grandparents visiting :)

sparkly loveliness.....

It's been a little while since I shared some of my jewellery creations, these are two of my pieces I created today, I am enjoying more and more mixing up the different metals I have in my jewellery making 'stash' it really adds so much to the 'eclectic' look I desire when I create.
I called this pair 'Gaiety'I love the Texture of different chains together, this bracelet altho it's made entirely of Solid brass, each of the brass findings seem to take on a slightly different shade and tone. all of the pieces I have used to make this bracelet come from different suppliers, they sit in my little divided boxes waiting for me to decide what to do with them.... once assembled all of those pieces from so many different parts of the world suddenly become 'ONE'..........Don't you just love Creating!

Hope you find time to Create today ♥

A little birthday badge....

This is my 2nd piece for
using our challenge piece
My little lady is turning 8 next week, and I thought this little Robot Lady from the montage sheet was the perfect Starting point for a little Birthday Badge for her to wear on her big day.
The Base of the Badge is a Tim Holtz Clearz Tilez,
I mod podged some printed paper onto the tilez then Cut out the Robot lady image, sanded the edges and separated the layers a little so that the image was a little thinner to use. Then adhered the little robot lady to the printed paper using Mod Podge. I trimmed and sanded the edges of the printed paper around the edge of the Tilez. Then I applied some rub-on flowers & the Number and added a little computer generated 'today'. Then gave the top a coat of Plaid Royal Coat, which gave it a lovely High Shine and protective layer.
Have a happy day everyone :)

Roses are Red....

This is my final piece for our Design Team Challenge of using
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist
this month at The Stamping Queen
It's been great having a theme, and working all month with it.
Layers seem to be a recuring theme in my art
this bookmark is no exception
Take the little 'moo' sized centrepiece
it started with a piece of printed paper, sprayed with Glimmer mist, Vintage Image added, German Scrap trimming the top, sentiment stamped and added, Transparency added over the top, Backed with Velvet and all stitched together.
I used ~ Collections Elements Vintage Wallpaper, Collections Elements Transparency, Collections Elements Vintage Image,Kaiser Wood Flourishes, Melissa Francis Vintage transfers,
Paper Artsy Young Love 4 Rubber Stamp (Roses are Red), German Scrap,
extra's ~ velvet, vintage lace, basic grey printed paper, bling :)

I was asked the following question in my comments by Deb (the junkin' yaya)

Hi Gillian!I have just received my goodies from glimmer mist and am anxious to try them. I still am having a hard time understanding how all the 'water mist' can do a stencil without showing water spots everywhere? I have watched her videos...but, any good tips? It appears it is going to be how you really hold the bottle and how you spray it?thanks...

Hi Deb, this is what I found worked for me ~ I put some scrap paper down on the floor, then my piece I want to spray, shake the bottle well just before you start spraying. Spray using a sweeping motion from a standing position start off by spraying lightly and build up your spray as desired. If you are using a Stencil remove your stencil as soon as you finish spraying. and leave your piece to dry for a minute or two on the floor.

I found when sitting at the desk I was too close to the piece I wanted to spray and I did get larger spots from the spray, and I think you are right the angle of the bottle does seem to alter the effect you achieve when spraying your Glimmer Mist. I hope this helps a little Deb :)

A Big Thank you to all the people who have stopped by,

May your week be Blessed ♥

I'm all a quiver...

Ok....well I am totally hooked on Glimmer Mist!
This is my next project for our monthly challenge at
My beloved and I are coming up to our 17th wedding anniversary :)
so with this in mind I created this little piece, it's a little 'hanging thing'....
For this piece I stamped my PaperArtsy Stamp, then masked the stamped image and sprayed the Glimmer Mist over the top. The Masking left the couple lighter than the Background thus making them stand out.
this picture shows up the effect of masking the stamped image.
Supplies Used were - PaperArtsy Urban Snapshots Young Love 4 Plate, Collections elements Chipboard Luggage Tag, Kaisercraft Wooden Flourish - Corners, Glimmer Mist-Graphite, Bling, Brass Jump rings and Ring, wooden gears & typewriter key, Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad, Computer Generated words.
the little wooden gears & typewriter key were purchased from porkchopshow
Hope you are all having a lovely week :)

Dream A little Dream......

I'm still having a lovely time using my 'Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist'
I made This ATC (artist trading card or ACEO)
using the Background I created with the Glimmer Mist you can see in the below photo
the original Cardstock was a creamy pale lemony/green (I know...I'm not that good at describing colours...lol!) and I placed a piece of cotton lace over the cardstock, then sprayed with Graphite Glimmer Mist.
Then set to work building my collage :)
I used ~ My newly created Background, Collections Image, a tiny scrap of Collections Printed Paper,German Scrap Border, Collections Transparency (that is the POST CARD piece), Melissa Francis Vintage Transfer (love how that makes the image look like a Cameo), Darkroom Door DDRS009 Little Dreams (for the 'dream a little dream' sentiment), lace butterfly, versa fine ink and my sewing machine :)
My Heart Goes out to All those effected this week by the Devastating Bush Fires that are currently Raging in Australia, so many people have lost their lives and many more have lost their homes,
You are not far from my thoughts and in my Prayers x

Before you know it.....

The Stamping Queen now has a
New Design Team Blog
You can see it HERE
were each month the team is given a 'challenge'
for the month we will make items weekly that fit that challenge
The Challenge for this month is to use the Product
we each got to choose the colour we wanted to work with, so I chose 'Graphite'
which was a lot of fun, as I've never used Glimmer Mist before and now know I'll be using it VERY Regularly!!! I love it :)
I made another little house, I am totally hooked on making them at the moment and used a bunch of some of my new TSQ bits and some I've had for a little while.
i used ~ Clearly Impressed M4747 Home Element & M4745 Rock and Roll Stamps, Melissa Francis Vintage Transfers, Paper Artsy Kids Plate 5 (for the before you know it verse), German Scrap, Collections Elements Vintage Wallpaper Printed Paper, Chipboard house, vintage image & word, Label Holder, and Glimmer Mist Graphite.

You can see in this last picture, that I sprayed the text from an old book with the glimmer mist, and not only did it antique the page it also gave it that wonderful 'glimmer'

if you have a little spare blog time, pop on over to TSQ Design Team Blog and see what the other girls have used their Glimmer Mist for :)

♥♥♥ Hope you are all having a Lovely week ♥♥♥

love cherish believe.....

I made this little piece of
'Bedroom Jewellery'
for my little miss :)
Using some of my supplies from
The Butterflies are Double sided.
the Front says,
love cherish believe
the back side says,
create sweet artist
I Inked the butterflies (Collection Elements Chipboard Butterflies) with a few shades of ink, then stamped the butterflies around the edges of the wings with a flourish stamp from the Darkroom Doors DDRS012 stamp set.
I repeated the inking and stamping for the back 3 butterflies ~ a total of 6 butterflies.
then I glued the back butterflies to the front and stitched around them.
Then I added the little words, and rubbed Kindy Glitz all over them :)
Added some Chain, Cultured Pearls, brass findings and there you have it some Bedroom Jewellery!
This is a picy of the finished piece hanging in Georgia's room, If you click on the image it will enlarge for you to see a little better!
Needless to say it's Pink and Sparkly, and has beads and pretty bits so Georgia Loves it :)
