This week at DCMs You are being Dared to make a card that is inspired by 'All Things Media'. The dare was my first time to set the dare...
I've gotta tell you it's a nerve raking business...
It's around us no matter which way we turn, and all designed to get our attention. Ads designed by graphic designers who know all the tricks & techniques to draw our eyes to the product in question. You only have to glance at a Newspaper quickly to read headings with 'Shock' titles & 'Clever' puns all designed to make you want to read what the article is all about!Maybe you have been inspired by an Ad in a magazine, the colours or design that has been used. Or incorporate actual magazines & newspapers onto your card; maybe chop up letters (ransom note style) to create the sentimentSo grab that latest edition of your favourite Mag, or pick up your newspaper, because there is so much inspiration there, Just waiting for you to discover!

OK, so I've gotta admit this is a bit of a naughty card.... My Father In Law is turning 70 next month, and this ones for him.... He is a retired farmer (thus the farming newspaper), Has a very good sense of humour, and know's his bible through and through... So when I asked Andrew to help me choose something for the strip journaling on this one... Ofcourse he wanted it to be THREE SCORE & TEN... and he found this reference in the bible there for him too...
Psalm 90:10 reads - The length of our days is seventy years - or eighty, if we have the strength. I hope he laughs as much as Andrew & I did when we found this verse... LOL!!!
Bits for this Funny card are - Bazzill Cardstock, Flourish read all about PP, My Minds Eye Tree, Chipboard letters, 7 Gypsies paper tab, strip journaling made on the computer, brad, pigment pen, and my sewing machine.
Make sure you pop by the Daring Card Makers Blog, and look at the other lovelies there...
So have you dared to DARE yet........ COME ON I DARE YOU!!!!!!
