I added a vintage image from a sheet of Collage images made by Stamp-it out of my DT supplies from The Stamping Queen, Prima flower,Fancy Pants Rub-on,Stampin Up Stamp, lace butterfies, string,& sewing machine,
I folded and sanded the image to give it a bit more of a Vintage and Loved look!

The Da Vinci Diva's

I made this little ATC using a new stamp that arrived for me from
isn't it lovely! Those beautiful Da Vinci girls
it's a Cherry Pie stamp, I also used another page out of my poor old copy of 'around the world in 80 days', a rub-on by American Crafts minimarks, Versafine Onyx Black, EK Success Alpha stamp, jewelery finding and a brad.
Lots happening in our home at the moment, we are pulling out our old kitchen this week, and next week the new one goes in, YAY!!!
I'm trying to learn how to use my new PC... and load all the stuff I want into it.. argh!
but it's so lovely and FAST....
We are all finally on the mend after a most awful season of illness, I think feeling the spring air makes you feel better in itself...
And Andrew goes on holidays from work for 4 weeks at the end of this week.. another YAY!!!!
as we have loads to do this year around the house. and lots of day trips to take :O)
so it's all happening... and it's all lovely!
Hope you are having a great week sofar...
and have found a little time to create!

DCM weekly dare - In A Word

It was our Rhi's turn to dare us this week at
Daring Cardmakers
She is daring you & me to use a Word as the main focal point to your card. It can be a name, a greeting or just a word that inspires you. You can use other text but only one word as a main embellishment. So dig out your dictionaries, die cutters, alphabet stamps, rubons or download a funky font and show us what you can do! The design team have come up with some fabulous creations to inpsire you.
Loved this dare Rhi!
so I decided to make a 'TAG CARD'
most of my bits for this piece come from
so what did I use - 'lost aussie' stamp, Transparency butterfly, Collections chipboard keyhole, Collections Word 'believe',other bits from my stash are some tags, some pp,ribbon, chain
& a SCRUMMY vintage Key, and yes my sewing machine...
So have you Dared to DARE yet? come on I Dare YOU!

SALT - God's Promises

It's my turn to set the challenge this week at
so I picked
God's Promises.
So many times we are guilty of breaking promises,
or have been on the other end of a broken promise,
but what a wonderful blessing to know
that when God makes a promise it's steadfast.

I picked this verse, because I am a 'loner' a 'happy in my own company type of girl' and made this little pencil holder so this promise from God is on my desk right in front of me, to remind me about spending time with God's people, too often I hide from the world happy spending time at home doing my own thing, and because of this I often miss the blessing of being apart of God's family, and as an encouragement to myself, I picked this verse to remind me that when I am in the presence of God's family I am also in the presence of God.

Oh that was deep...are you still with me..

That circle bit in the middle is a piece from an old belt, you know the macrame type with discs in between the thread, anyway I pulled it apart and sealed some words on, then I embossed it with embossing powder, and sealed it some more, the rest is pretty easy to see what I've done, I do like the look of the beading wire wrapped around like that, I think that might be my new thing, anyway... please note! no sewing machine... an no it didn't hurt! lol!

So Come Join us at Salt this week

DCM weekly dare

This week at Daring Cardmakers
the dare for you and me was to make a Christmas card
with the recipe of three things
you had to have some Purple, torn edge & a hole
Pop on over and check out what the other DT girls have created, they are beautiful!
and ofcourse we can't wait to see what you create as well :O)

My Scrappin buddy Casey bought me back this lovely pressie from a recent trip away, I've used it as the main feature of this card. It's a 'home made' chipboard piece she purchased while on the trip, stamped into Opals. I just love it, Thanks again Casey :O)

Purple - there are flecks of purple in my feature piece Casey gave me and in the Artchix Studio Faux Postage Stamps I got these in one of my DT packs from The Stamping Queen
torn edge - well you have to look hard, I've torn the edge of my iddy biddy little tag hanging from the bow. Hole - there is a hole in the little stitcker 'hinge' I added to the left hand side.
So have you Dared to Dare yet?...Come on I DARE YOU!!!!

Pure Innocence

I made this little hanging piece using one of my Design Team stamps from

I used this beautiful Stampsmith photo stamp, with Versamark Watermark pad, and then applying grey chalk over the top, to give a really soft finish... I love the way the image came out, so soft and 'floaty'. I added a couple of computer generated words, then sandwiched the stamped image inbetween 2 pieces of acetate, and then the frame I cut from basic grey printed paper. Stitched it and added the lace, flowers, 7 Gypsies handle, some twisted pearl cotton, maria george crystals, and well there you have it...
