DCM's Weekly Dare

Posted by PicasaJust got this one made, and thought I'd post it straight away.. This weeks Dare was to make a New Years Card, with a recipe of 2 printed papers, A Die cut, 3 brads or eyelets.
So this is what I came up with, I don't have one of those whizz bang cutting machines so my die cuts are store bought, the brackets and the tag are dies, This is the very first New Years Card I have ever made.. And I thank the DCM girls for all of their inspiration & sharing their Creations each and every week, I have had just the best time doing these dares. You really are a great bunch of girls, not just the design team, but the other participants in the weekly dares..
{{{{Hugs to you all}}}}
Items that celebrate on this card are - Bazzill Cardstock, My Mind's Eye Printed paper & Dye cuts, Cloud 9 chipboard alphas, Ribbon, charm, jumpring, dymo tape, brads, Making Memories 'happy' stamp, and my sewing machine..
Now this is definately my last Post before Christmas, cause it's nearly here..
I'll be back to announce the winner of my RAK's on Boxing Day sometime, so if you haven't already put your name down go on....Just put your name on the 'Just for fun' post in the comments.... And you'll be in the draw See you all then...
In the meantime, Have a really great Christmas, enjoy your family and friends and Stay safe if you travel, God Bless You all and thanks heaps for all of the beautiful comments that you have left for me, It has been a real blessing to me thankyou.

A clever combination of Christmas-just-gone and the New Year to come! Very pretty papers and ribbon - it's a greta card, Gillian.

Thank you for being so encouraging and supportive and I trust your Christmas was a blessed one. Happy New Year!

Beautiful card but I admit to it making me chuckle a bit. The French for 'naked' is 'nu'.

So here's to a naked New Year... *wink wink*

Gillian said...

Oh Chrissie.... Thanks for that... I'm sure I had a bigger chuckle than you!!!!! I failed French... only did it for one year, in year 7 and I don't think they get up to NU in year 7... ROFL!!!!!

Tee hee!

There was (in my home town of Reading, England) a nightclub called Vallebonnes that 'reinvented itself' and called it 'Nu Vallebonnes'. As the girls were lining up to go in with nary a stitch on (a skirt that was more like a belt, a top that barely covered their nipples...you know the sort of thing) I think the irony was lost on them.

You do lovely work btw. Rach Millington is on my DT for Scrappers Unlimited which is how I stumbled across you today :D

Well I'm glad you dropped by Chrissie, Cause life's too short not to have a decent laugh once and a while... & I love Rachel's work....So I'm pleased to meet you.
