Pretty Tag :)

yep...still playing with gesso.....
I just love how you can stamp something, then blot out the parts you want with it, and the beautiful 'canvas' texture it gives to paper or card.

This lovely stamp is so suited to all things Pretty & Girly....

I adhered some pink printed paper onto a Collections Luggage Tag Chipboard, then stamped Darkroom Door Little Dreams DDRS009 Stamp onto the paper.

next using a foam brush I dabbed some gesso over the outside edges of the stamped image I didn't want to be seen.. then I stamped with the flourish & script stamps from the same Darkroom Door set using a Celadon shade of ink,

lastly embellished with lace, ribbon, stitching and beads

Darkroom Door Stamps available at

The Stamping Queen

oooohhhh and while you are there check out the gallery,

there's loads of lovely pieces in there to inspire

Spread your wings

Isn't this the prettiest stamp you've ever seen!
I recently received this Beautiful set of
Darkroom Door Stamps
it's called 'little dreams'
and just couldn't wait to ink them up

I just love Gesso at the moment, it's getting used on everything!

so I brushed some gesso on the cardstock first, it gives cardstock a 'canvas' finish,

then stamped the pretty image, then more gesso all around the outside of the image, over the top of the bits of the stamp I didn't want to be seen, (much more fun then masking)

I really like the Making Memories note worthy pads at the moment too, so there's a little corner of one at the bottom of this ATC too (it's a little hard to see the photo)

then applied a heap of Fancy Pants rub-ons, and then for an interesting touch I went over the whole thing with Jo sonja's gold iridescent glaze, you only see this when you tilt the card.

ooohh it's cold here tonight,

:: our winter has really hit Australia ::

Charm Swap :)

I was so excited when Mary-Beth asked me to be involved in a
charm swap she was co-ordinating, I've always wanted to do one of these!
So I'm catching up on lots of swaps and things this week,
and this is my little set of charms ready to post off to Mary-Beth.
My Design Team Stamps have just arrived from
The Stamping Queen
and one of the Plates I received was perfect for these little charms it was - Paper Artsy Dolls Plate D1 (the little tape measure)
I also used these CUTIE-PIE little Solid Brass 1" Charms I purchased these from
Brass Bouquet on etsy
and these amazing Czech Glass Beads came from an Aussie etsy shop
Zoe & Bruno
I used Stazon Jet Black ink to stamp onto the metal charms, and watch yourself when you are using your heat gun, they get VERY HOT!
Oh if you go and get some of those little tape measures charms, you do have to drill the holes yourself - all you have to do is buy a Drill Bit that drills through Metal,
I used a 2.5mm Viper Point Metal Drill Bit.

*****************
I'm sorry I haven't been around
but if you've read my previous posts you may understand.
I'm just so tired from all of the emotions I've been through over the last few months,
all of the time I've spent away from my husband and children.
not to mention all of the traveling I have done.
so I hope you understand why my blog hasn't been attended to much,
and why I haven't been around every ones blogs.
I'm finding time to create again - Yay!
even if that old mojo thingy is a little bit of a problem :s
(but shhhh....don't tell her that!)

Create Timeless Bliss

This is a card I created for Australian Paper Crafts
For an 'Artist and the Stamp' project
This actually appeared in the mag 2 months ago
but as you know.... my life has been a bit busy ;)

The stamp I used is the 'bubble' stamp in the centre strip

by Lizzie Anne Designs

and I used Hambly Screenprints Rub-ons (love those)
As I'm struggling at the moment to create with paper, I thought I'd post these picys on my blog as I hadn't as yet.... I'm finding concentrating difficult at the moment, some might say my 'mojo' has left the building...but I'm not going to give into that....

I'll be back soon, bigger and better.... ;)
