DCM dare No9.
It had to be black & white with a splash of colour... Well here is my effort... I chose Bronze/Green for my 'Splash of Colour'
Delightful materials used - Black cardstock, ki Memories PP, Heidi Swapp Blossoms, 7 Gypsies Clock face, metal tab & photo turn, Brad, bronze/green blossom, making memories letter stickers, sticko gem sticker, zig Pen, & sandpaper.
The stickers read - 'time for joy & peace for all'... I did use some numbers in place of some letters like a 4 for a A and 3 for a E... it's a great idea when you run out of letters to try sometimes.. Anyway Pop over to Daring Card Makers and have a look what the other girls have made, they are so clever with their ideas.. http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/

DCM little extra 'Christmas tags'
This weeks DCM little extra dare was to create 3 tags for Christmas, using as prompts the words Ribbon, Snowflake, Tree, Silver, Holly, Gift.. Well this is my offering for this great little dare.. I know before you tell me, they are all the same.... But it is the busiest time of the year and I have made 4 not 3... wouldn't be fair to this gorgeous family of mine to leave one out.. So out the list of prompts I used Ribbon (Yes that ribbon), Silver for all of the hardware, & Snowflake, even tho it doesn't snow in Australia at Christmas I've had these cute little snowflakes for the longest time in my stash and always wanted to use them.. (they actually came out of a snow globe that broke years ago.. Now that's thinking like a scrapper.....
Christmasy Materials used are - Shipping tags, Basic Grey PP, Heidi Swapp Blossoms, Francheville Label Holders, Wild Asparagus Words, Making Memories Crystal Brads, & other little brads, My Zig Pen, Sewing Machine and ofcourse that ribbon!!!! TTFN Gillian :o)

This is my 'On the Third Day Of Christmas' LO, for the 12 days of Christmas challenge on Janine's Blog http://angelgurl.wordpress.com/ do youself a favour, check out what everyone has been creating, Janine has links to everyones blogs.. What clever, clever girls...
The Third Day Of Christmas challenge centred around gifts. I chose to use these photo's of my children after they had ripped into their santa stockings. The journalling reads.. Christmas morning is always an early start at our home... the children are always busting to see what santa has stuffed into their stockings overnight... the children are aloud to open their stockings before breakfast time... In our house santa is just a bit of fun for the kids, they get little gifts in their stockings and the real presents come after breakfast from Mummy & Daddy....
So Janine thankyou I have now completed three LO's and about to start my fourth.. so I am grateful for the challenge and you for organising it.. I am really having fun...
Devine supplies included.. Basic Grey Printed Paper, Cloud 9 chipboard alpha's(from Spotlight),Heidi Swapp blossoms, 7 Gypsies metal tab(painted black), my fav ribbon of all time, Making memories crystal brad & black brads, little K&Co chipboard circle. and my Black Zig Pen & sewing machine.. I didn't like this LO until I scribbled on the chipboard letters, and I don't mind it at all now... TTFN Gillian
Dear Santa Bottle
It's for my children to write a 'thankyou' note to Santa on Christmas Eve... Anyway I thought maybe you'd like to see it, cause it's a fun little thing to make... You can even use some of your scraps..
The red Making Memories Rub-ons at the bottom read 'Dear Santa'
and I used Basic Grey Printed paper and lots of lovelies....
By the way Paula that Picasa you told me to download is great... I used it to not only upload this image but also crop & sharpen this photo...

On the 2nd Day Of Christmas
I know, I haven't done day one yet, but I have done this one and I wanted to post it, so you could see it.. This is a challenge I am doing based on the '12 days of Christmas'. If you want to have a look at the challenge go to the lovely Janines blog at http://angelgurl.wordpress.com/ anyway the Second Day of Christmas challenge is based on special food that you & your family have for Christmas. And our family lives in Australia so we have a cold christmas lunch, as there are no volunteers to cook a roast when it's nearly 40 deg. cel.
so what treasures did I use to make this LO. MME printed paper, Pressed Petals Letters,cardstock,K-ology letters, 7 gypsies paper tab, shipping tags, HeidiSwappBlossoms, some lovely ribbon, Autum Leaves Stamp. I made the imitation Lace by using a scallope ruler, then punched the holes with my hole punch.
Thanks Heaps Janine for this beautiful challenge you have created, I have enjoyed making my first LO so much, and can't wait to get my teeth into the rest. TTFN Gillian :o)

Just a little something I prepared earlier...
This is a little book that I made this time last year... We had a very interesting year lot's of highs and low's and I just didn't get around to keeping a diary... so towards the end of the year I decided to make this little book to record everything I had scribbled all over our calendar.. And I thought I'd share it with you... Hope you like it.. TTFN Gillian :o)
Your Climb
This is a LO I created for Lachlan about his first ever climb.. It was at our church camp this year, This was a huge deal for Lachlan, he is very timid when it comes to heights, and those three steps he took up the climbing tower may as well have been 100, We were so proud he had a go but not nearly as proud as Lachlan...
Materials used......Bazzill Cardstock, Pressed Petals Letters, Scenic Route Rubons,Daisy D cardstock sticker, Dymo tape, Making Memories chipboard star, K&Co K-ology brad, Basic Grey chipboard buckle, Black Paint,Collections chipboard brackets, ribbon, and ofcourse my zig pen and sewing machine....

DCM Dare No 6
This weeks Dare from Daring Card Makers was to incorporated 'doodling' on a card.
Well when I doodle and doodle I do....
It's all over my Bible Study Notes, or over my telephone book, and it consists of flowers and Sun's. So I've taken my little sun doodle and transformed it into this card...
The centre of the sun is the end of a ribbon spool covered with printed paper, good way to recycle... Sorry I can't tell you who makes those yummy letters,
Anyway thanks for the Dare girls... You always come up with a challenge and your cards are gorgeous. So If your reading this blog and you haven't sucome yet to DCM What's stopping you.. We are all waiting to see what you make!

Just a little ATC....
Well after being inspired by Rein, see last post.. I thought I'd have a bit of a go, at this collage/stamp style.. But I don't actually have that many stamps, so I've put my slant on it...
And this is a little ATC (artist trading card) that I have come up with... It was loads of fun..
Using a WW1 postcard, I scanned the image, then printed and trimmed around this lovely pair.
I also used 7 Gypsies - Printed paper(friends of soldiers) & mini key, Heidi Swapp Silhouette, Cosmo Cricket PP, sticko gem, & a blossom...
Have a look at this blog :o)

For this card I used one of my FAV printed paper's it's from 'Wild Asparagus'
and heaps of 7 Gypsies products... The little swing tag with the star is actually a tag that came on a 7 Gypsies Handle. The letters are Pressed Petals.

Special Card
Well I've had a fun week,
I really enjoyed doing my Card Dare's and also joining in the Pencil Line Sketch, Scroll down and check out my efforts...
But really the most fun I had in the 'Crafty' zone this week was making a very special card for a very special lady...
My friend Merryn asked me to make a card for her daughter's 21st birthday, what an honour....
so here it is.
I used my brand new scanner and scanner her colour photo and printed it onto cardstock, to get this lovely smokey photo. I think this really enhanced Merryn's daughters eyes.... Isn't it a beautiful photo of her...
And then the rest just happened...

It's a buzz.....
What a great day, I dropped the boys off to school, then Georgia and I went to have a look at the shops, bought the new SC Mag, then we headed to a cafe for an early morning tea....
We knew this layout was in the Mag but it's always a buzz for us to open it up and see the layout in print...
So over our Date & Honey Loaf, my flat white & Georgia's choc milkshake, we shared our page.
Like I said 'what a great day'.
So if you've bought the new Scrapbook Creations No 36. We are on page 104
P.S.. It looks like another amazing edition. Lot's of inspiration just waiting to happen....
I guess now we are home, I'd better go and do some house work...

Flower Board Book
This is a little board book I made for a bit of fun for Georgia.
It has photos in it from her 5th Birthday.
She loves all of the sparkly bits and all of the charms.
It's a maya road board book and I used a glue stick to stick all of the paper down, then sanded all of the edges.
Then the fun began......
I went through my stash and gathered all of the little bits and pieces that I thought would make her smile..
