Before you know it.....

The Stamping Queen now has a
New Design Team Blog
You can see it HERE
were each month the team is given a 'challenge'
for the month we will make items weekly that fit that challenge
The Challenge for this month is to use the Product
we each got to choose the colour we wanted to work with, so I chose 'Graphite'
which was a lot of fun, as I've never used Glimmer Mist before and now know I'll be using it VERY Regularly!!! I love it :)
I made another little house, I am totally hooked on making them at the moment and used a bunch of some of my new TSQ bits and some I've had for a little while.
i used ~ Clearly Impressed M4747 Home Element & M4745 Rock and Roll Stamps, Melissa Francis Vintage Transfers, Paper Artsy Kids Plate 5 (for the before you know it verse), German Scrap, Collections Elements Vintage Wallpaper Printed Paper, Chipboard house, vintage image & word, Label Holder, and Glimmer Mist Graphite.

You can see in this last picture, that I sprayed the text from an old book with the glimmer mist, and not only did it antique the page it also gave it that wonderful 'glimmer'

if you have a little spare blog time, pop on over to TSQ Design Team Blog and see what the other girls have used their Glimmer Mist for :)

♥♥♥ Hope you are all having a Lovely week ♥♥♥

Hello my friends.....

Happy New Year :)

I just realised I hadn't put this piece onto my blog,
Last year I was thrilled to be asked to join in on a Stampers Challenge with Australian Cardmaking Stamping & papercraft Vol 14 No5.
Using The Beautiful Darkroom Door DDRS008 Doors Set :)
as you may have worked out, I love these little houses....
I love the shape, it's a really neat shape to work on, My street number is 23 so this little house represents my home, and I'm going to put this little one into a frame :)
It has Lots of Layers, I love using 'Sinamay' at the moment, you can purchase it by the mtr at Spotlight if you are in Australia in the section where all the 'hat making' bits and bobs are.
It's fun to cut, fray, stitch, glue and paint over......
I love this photo, showing you how the words 'peek' through the sinamay :)
One of the great joy's of being in this magazine issue is the wonderful friends who are also published in also, Friends whom I've met through blogging, some I've chatted with via emails, some I've been in swaps with, and two special girls whom I'm on the TSQ design team with,
so lovely to share the pages with all of these sweet girls :)

It's been such a long time since I blogged,
this time of the year is such a special time for us with visitors,
the children on school holidays, swimming lessons and so many holiday activities...

I wish you all A VERY happy New Year,
May it be Blessed from Above x

Moleskin Journal - Expression

I recently purchased some 'Moleskin Journals' I thought they'd be fun to alter, if you are not familiar with Moleskins, they are blank Journals with a lovely soft 'kraft' cover. So I decided it was time to make my first :)
Using some of my New stamps from
I set to work!
I started with this little butterfly, and then the house, Lot's of layering of Printed Paper, stamping glueing and stitching...
I just love stamping over printed text, but for a change it was over this lovely collections printed paper, I love the 'hidden dimension' this technique gives this piece, at first you don't really see whats underneath, Your eyes go straight to the 'top layer' of the design but soon you find yourself trying to see past the stamped image to see the 'partially hidden' background. Once my little House was Stamped, Sewn and finished, I adhered it to the Moleskin.

Supplies used are - Moleskin Journal, Collections Elements Houses & Dainty Butterflies, Vintage Wallpapers Printed Paper & Words, Queens Dresser Drawers - Pensive Phillip Stamp, Clearly Impressed Home Elements Stamps, Darkroom door Stamp DDRS009 little Dreams (for the script on the butterfly) German Scrap scallop border.

Well Excitement is Growing in our household as each day brings us closer to Christmas

Such a wonderful time :)
